THE CASA

The Charity was formed for the purposes of promoting, celebrating, preserving and sharing with ALL OF BERMUDA, the rich culture of the Azores Islands, Azorean traditions, and the Azorean history in a Bermuda. We also recognize and celebrate the influence of Azorean culture on Bermuda and vice versa.

Our Charity advocates that it is important for all of Bermuda’s people to celebrate together not only who we are today but also where we all came. Our Charity’s mandate is the Azorean community’s contribution towards bringing all of Bermuda’s people together and removing the historical barriers, whether ethnic or otherwise. Our Charity opens its doors to all and invites all of Bermuda to discover and celebrate all that the Azorean culture in Bermuda has to offer.

Our Charity deems that it is crucial to Bermuda for all of its people to celebrate the diversity of cultures and traditions present in Bermuda. We maintain the importance of understanding, acknowledging and celebrating the history of all of Bermuda’s people. While historically there have been many trials and tribulations, we are firm believers that by removing the barriers and opening our arms to each others historical and cultural traditions and sharing, celebrating and paying homage to these differences that unite us, we could move one step closer to connecting Bermuda’s people.

There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.
